Heart Evangelista gives love advice in new rom-com ‘The Wedding Hustler’
Having been through the ups and downs, ins and outs of love herself, Heart Evangelista finds herself being the one sharing words of wisdom on the topic in the new romantic comedy film “The Wedding Hustler.”
In her cameo appearance on the movie, Evangelista is best friend to “Bling Empire” star Kane “Cam” Lim who gives a brief yet helpful advice about love during a virtual conversation as they discuss reel- and real-life sweethearts Chris Soriano and Hillary Mañalac’s pandemic wedding, as seen in the film’s trailer uploaded on Chris Soriano’s YouTube channel in November 2022.
“Well, you know what? Love is love. Now, if they really love each other, they’re gonna work [it] out,” Evangelista said at what appeared to be a response to Lim’s story about the couple’s relationship woes. The “Bling Empire” star, one of the film’s producers, also starred as the wedding hustler’s assistant.
“The Wedding Hustler,” which was filmed in San Diego, California, and premiered in select cinemas, tells the story of a couple who postponed their wedding many times due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Evangelista and Lim previously shared the spotlight when the fashion icon appeared in an episode of “Bling Empire” during a Filipino-inspired party in October 2022.
Recently, the actress-fashionista’s marriage to Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero was hounded by separation rumors after she dropped her married name from her social media account, then announcing that she is building a home in Paris, France where she planned on staying indefinitely. She also revealed that she she had been dealing with “personal struggles” and had been crying during a photo shoot for the French magazine, L’Officiel, of which she was the September 2022 cover.
Evangelista, however, quashed breakup speculations in December when she told Escudero that she would “see [him] soon” after her stay in Paris. The couple celebrated New Year’s Eve together, then went to Japan where they bonded with Escudero’s kids, Quino and Chesi. They later on spent time in Paris. EDV
