Yasmien Kurdi attended Westlife’s “The Wild Dreams Tour” concert in Manila and caught the attention of one of the vocal group’s members, Mark Feehily, who followed the actress on Instagram after she shared a video from the event.
The actress was over the moon as she showed through her Instagram post on Tuesday, Feb. 21, a screenshot of Feehily’s following list which includes her handle.
“OMG! Markus ‘Mark’ Michael Patrick Feehily reposted my story and followed me back!” she said in the caption. “Hala, totoo ba? Nanaginip yata ako? You made my day!” (Gosh, is this true? Maybe I’m dreaming? You made my day!)
Kurdi’s Instagram Story was also noticed by another member of the boy band, Nicky Byrne, as seen on another screenshot posted by the actress. This is not the first time Kurdi interacted with the band as she shared photos of them together taken in 2006.
Prior to this concert, Westlife came to the country in 2019 when they had their “The Twenty Tour,” which marked their 20th anniversary.
The pop boy band, which is known for their hits “If I Let You Go,” “Swear It Again” and “Flying without Wings,” among others, was formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2012. They reunited in October 2018, as they said they missed performing onstage in front of fans. /ra
