Ogie Diaz said he does not hold any grudge against Willie Revillame, who recently reminded the comedian that he owed the latter debts of gratitude.
Revillame earlier addressed critics, who were later revealed to be Diaz, showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin and Gab Valenciano, who Revillame said he once loved and helped out in the past but were now speaking ill of him. Diaz later responded to Revillame’s statements and clarified that the money he got from the TV host years ago was donated to a charity.
Diaz then answered the question he has apparently been receiving since Revillame’s “utang na loob” remark made headlines, via his Instagram Stories on Friday, Feb. 10.
“‘Nagalit ka ba sa pinagsasabi against you ni Willie Revillame?'” Diaz wrote. “Hindi po. Hindi rin ako galit sa kanya. Ang alam ko, siya ang galit habang nagsusumbong siya sa audience niya.”
(Were you angry at what Willie Revillame said against you? No. Also, I am not angry with him. What I know is that he was furious when he was revealing this to his audience.)
“‘Pag pinili kong magalit din, kasalanan ko ‘yon sa sarili ko,” he said. (If I choose to be angry as well, it would be a mistake against myself.)
Revillame blurted out his “utang na loob” remark after he was supposedly called “mayabang” (arrogant) and “nagpapaawa” (appealing to pity) for addressing those rejoicing over the rumored break from airing of ALLTV’s programs.
Revillame later apologized to Fermin for his statement, saying his emotions got the best of him. /ra
