After Vhong Navarro made his comeback on “It’s Showtime,” Deniece Cornejo chimed in the hashtag “rhymes with wrong,” a phrase used by model Kat Alano to name the celebrity who allegedly drugged and raped her.

Cornejo, who accused Navarro of raping her inside her condominium unit in 2014, used the said hashtag while sharing a teaser from the noontime variety show through her Facebook page on Monday, Jan. 16.

“Madlang People! Anong inaabangan niyo ngayong Lunes? (What are you looking forward to this Monday?) Wrong answers only!” it said.

On the same day, Navarro marked his first appearance on the show after months of absence to face his legal woes.

In 2020, Alano spoke up on being raped by a “still famous celebrity” who allegedly drugged her and waged “smear campaigns” to destroy her career. While Alano did not mention the celebrity’s name and only used the hashtag “#rhymeswithwrong,” Navarro’s name became a trending Twitter topic after the model revealed her story.

The Taguig City Court ordered Navarro’s arrest in September last year for the acts of lasciviousness case filed by Cornejo. Navarro then walked free from his detention cell in December after a court granted his motion to post bail, which was set at P1 million, for his temporary liberty.

The Taguig court also earlier junked the motion for reconsideration filed by Cornejo seeking to recall Navarro’s bail.  /ra
