“Drag Den Philippines” queen Aries Night has called for financial help for the medical bill of her father, who was rushed to the hospital last week.
The drag queen made this appeal to the public through a series of Instagram Stories yesterday, Jan. 11. She said she rushed her father to the hospital last Friday and that he was set to be discharged yesterday.
“Hello, nakakahiya and sorry [pero] I’m reaching out for help na kahit how much for my dad’s hospital bill,” she said. (Hello, it is quite embarrassing, and sorry but I’m reaching out for help, no matter how much for my dad’s hospital bill.)
“He had gastric ulcer that caused [gastrointestinal] bleeding that resulted to infection. He was transfused with six units of blood and underwent several tests to determine and solve the condition,” Aries Night narrated.
Aries Night then explained that she managed to save “just enough” from previous gigs and the said amount was supposed to be used for her sisters’ school enrollment.
She added that her Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) benefits were only able to cover P185,219.43 out of the P250,605.85 bill. Given this, she still needs to find around P65,000 to cover the balance.
“Drag Den Philippines,” which is produced by Project 8 and Cornerstone Studios, premiered last December on Prime Video Philippines. It is hosted by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Manila Luzon, who also judges alongside beauty queen Nicole Cordoves and online content creator Sassa Gurl. /ra
