Emma Myers proves she’s proud fan of Seventeen, explains reason behind group name
It turns out that Emma Myers, best known for her role as Enid Sinclair in the hit series “Wednesday,” is a Carat at heart. Carat is the official fandom name for the K-pop boy group Seventeen.
The actress revealed that she’s a huge fan of Seventeen in an interview with American TV host Jimmy Fallon, released on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s YouTube channel yesterday, Jan. 5.
“I was 15 [when I first became a fan of Seventeen], so about five years ago,” she said. “There’s 13 people in Seventeen… so yeah, it’s a whole thing.”
Myers opened up about her love for the group, as she explained the reason behind Seventeen’s name despite having 13 members. “There’s 13 of them, and there are three different groups. You have hip-hop, performance and vocals. And then there’s one team. So 13, plus three, plus one is 17,” she said.
It can be recalled that Seventeen is composed of the Hip-Hop Team (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon); Performance Team (Jun, Hoshi, The8, Dino) and Vocal Team (Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Seungkwan).
