After watching a “bee lady” sift through hives using her bare hands, Chris Pratt apparently assumed he can do the same but as it turned out, he was wrong.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor narrated how he got a “false sense of security” around bees which prompted him to try to “control” them, in a video on his Instagram page on Thursday, Dec. 22.

“So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram, she’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, ‘They’re very calm today. I’m going to remove the bee, I’m going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen,’” he said.

“So it has built up this false sense of security in me to where I said, ‘I think I can control bees, too,’” he added.

Upon seeing a beehive, Pratt, who was warned beforehand by an individual, tried his luck and followed what the bee lady did.

“I went towards it and the man standing next to me said, ‘Be careful, there’s bees,’ and I said, ‘These bees look very calm,’” he recalled.

“And I just stared at these bees and then one of them came out and stung me in the eyeball,” Pratt continued while taking off his sunglasses, revealing his swollen eye. “So, anyways, f*ck that bee lady.”

Aside from his Marvel films, Pratt is known for his role in the “Jurassic World” movies. The American actor was also cast to voice the Italian plumber Mario in the feature-length animated movie “The Super Mario Bros,” which is set for release in April 2023. EDV
