Eraserheads members Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro are set to reunite in the sold-out “Huling El Bimbo” show at SMDC Festival Grounds tomorrow. No question about it—despite so many high-profile concerts being staged this month, the group is the hottest ticket on the concert block.

In a recent press con, Alden Richards, whose TV series “Start-Up PH” will wrap up its run on Dec. 23, explained why his company (Myriad Entertainment Corp.) decided to coproduce the hotly anticipated musical trip down memory lane.

“The Eraserheads and its music have really crossed generations,” Alden noted. “I was in high school when I first learned about their music. And it’s easy to understand how their songs have resonated with music lovers of any age.

“They’re timeless. I don’t think there’s anybody in the room who has not heard of a single Eheads song. So [when the opportunity presented itself] I thought it was high time for people to see them all together again on one stage and hear the songs that have become highlights of their lives.

“At the peak of their popularity, iba ang effect ng music nila … which transcends different generations and age groups. Their songs mean different things to different people, so the idea of getting all of them together in a live concert is [an endeavor worth pursuing]. It’s time to bring back the feels!”
