I already booked everything for a family vacation. We’re all going to Singapore for the holidays. It’s my first out-of-the-country vacation since the pandemic, so I’m excited about it. But it’s still hard to look past the Metro Manila Film Festival [where I play lead in one of the entries—Joel Lamangan’s “My Father, Myself”].
During the press con, I was asked if I’m feeling pressured with this year’s lineup, I said, ‘Hindi po talaga.’ When we learned that we got included in the festival, we were already very thankful. Ours is a simple and humble film. It didn’t have P100-million budget, if you know what I mean. This was made by four very passionate actors, a brilliant director and a talented writer. It’s an old-school film. This is why I can’t think of vacation just yet, [because] so many big things are happening still.”
