Christmas is fast approaching, and Lea Salonga made sure to treat her supporters to a series of holiday songs.
The Broadway singer and Disney legend performed with the U.S.-based Tabernacle Choir during the group’s three-day Christmas concert at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, as seen in a video uploaded on Moroni Channel’s YouTube channel on Saturday, Dec. 17.
The video showed Salonga performing songs like “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” with the 360-member Tabernacle Choir and British actor David Suchet.
“It’s been a fantastic experience, yeah, I’m not going to forget being enveloped by that sound. And it was something that I’ve missed because it had been a while since we were able to gather that many people in one space,” Salonga said, as she spoke about her experience at the concert.
Salonga also did a rendition of the Filipino Christmas song “Payapang Daigdig,” as mentioned in a report by the Moroni Channel News on the same day. However, the video of her performance is yet to be uploaded, as of this writing.
The Broadway star shared her experience at the choir’s concert in her personal Instagram account. “Spectacular venue. Incredible choir and orchestra. So great being here!!! @thetabernaclechoir,” Salonga wrote.
Miss World 2013 Megan Young and husband Mikael Daez were among the audience who witnessed Salonga’s performance, according to a post on the Moroni channel’s official Instagram page.
Prior to her performance in Utah, Salonga collaborated with Jose Mari Chan and Pentatonix for a cover of “Christmas in Our Hearts” in October 2022. EDV
