Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero have marked the fourth birthday of their daughter Rocket, and opened up on the challenges that come with raising a child with autism.

Miles gave a glimpse of her daughter’s simple birthday celebration at home, which the actress admitted was already a “big” event for Rocket, via her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 14.

“Happy Birthday to our dearest Rocket. Do you guys know, her first full sentence is ‘Happy Birthday to you’? Coming from a primarily non-verbal child, we definitely gotta celebrate her birthday!” Miles said.

“This year we decided to celebrate her 4th birthday at home. For parents who have a child with ASD (Autism syndrome disorder) know the challenges in throwing a party for their child, especially with lots of people,” she added.

Miles noted that she and Montero are still trying to figure out how well Rocket can tolerate parties, loud music and lots of people, so they opted to keep the celebration low-key.

“This party is already big for her. She (Rocket) even got scared when lighting the birthday candle. My fault because I got one of those flower candles with music,” she told fans.

Miles then stated that taking birthday photos of Rocket was challenging as well, since the child was not looking at the camera in the over 60 shots they took of her.

“We’re practicing and learning so much from her. It’s humbling and patience is infinite. We love you Rocket. Happy Birthday [Rocket],” she said.

Miles and Montero revealed their daughter’s condition last April, saying they opted not to share the information immediately to the public because they were still educating themselves. Miles later shared Rocket’s progress, with the child now able to call the actress “Mama.”  /ra
