Angeline Quinto has expressed her appreciation for her house helper of nine years, Ate Irene, by treating her to a shopping spree and a cash gift ahead of Christmas Day.
The singer gave a glimpse of her shopping trip with Irene as part of her “Vlogmas” Christmas vlog series, via her YouTube channel yesterday, Dec. 14.
For the shopping spree, Quinto brought Irene to a clothing store where they bought gifts for Irene and her five family members in the province.
(This is the first time I will be able to give a good gift to Irene in the almost nine years she has been with us. This is what I really want to do for my “Vlogmas,” to give back to Irene. Because you know that Irene is not just a sister to me. I really treat her as part of my family.)
After shopping, the singer handed Irene an envelope containing cash which is to be used to complete the home that Irene is building for her family.
(Irene deserves all of this. I always tell her I am grateful because from when [mama Bob] passed away to when I had [my son] Sylvio, Irene was there. So I will always be thankful for having Irene in my life.)
Meanwhile, Quinto revealed last September that she and her non-showbiz partner Nonrev Daquina are engaged, by calling him her “fiancé” during her “10Q” concert in the United States. Quinto and Daquina have a son together, Sylvio, who they welcomed last April. /ra
