Singers, fellow colleagues pay tribute to Jovit Baldivino: ‘Isang kapatid sa pag-awit’
Yeng Constantino, Angeline Quinto, Rhap Salazar, Kiray Celis and Ogie Alcasid were among the Filipino celebrities who paid tribute to singer Jovit Baldivino, who passed away today, Dec. 9, at 29 years old.
Constantino bid a heartfelt farewell to Baldivino in a black-and-white photo posted on her Instagram Story on the same day. The post showed the singers posing with fellow colleagues Marcelito Pomoy and Angeline.
“Jovit paalam [broken heart emoji],” the pop-rock singer wrote.
Meanwhile, Quinto recalled some of her fondest memories with Baldivino through a series of throwback snaps uploaded on Instagram. “Mamimiss kita Jovs [emojis],” she said.
Salazar, a former child actor, reshared a Facebook post from 2010 that showed him performing with Baldivino and Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

Celis expressed her grief over Baldivino’s sudden death as she honored the singer through a video on her Facebook account.
“Jovit [emojis] Jovit…. totoo ba to? Ang saya saya pa natin dito.. hindi ka lang naging mabuting kaibigan samin. Para ka na naming kapatid eh [sad emoji] mamimiss ka namin. At mahal na mahal ka namin! [emojis],” the “Goin’ Bulilit” alum said.
For his part, Alcasid retweeted an update from INQUIRER.net as he paid his respect to Baldivino.

Star Music also extended its condolences to Baldivino’s family, friends and supporters following his death. The record label thanked the singer for showcasing his talents, noting that he will always be remembered.

Baldivino’s passing was confirmed by his family in an official statement via former Star Magic handler Jerry Telan. He gained nationwide recognition after winning the reality talent competition show “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010. /ra
