Gal Gadot extended her gratitude to fans as she celebrates nine years since she was officially announced as the DC superhero Wonder Woman.

The actress looked back at the day she was revealed to play Wonder Woman while showing herself as the character, via her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 6.

“On this day, a few years ago, was the first announcement that I was going to play Wonder Woman,” Gadot said.

“I’ve been so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and more than anything I’m grateful for YOU. The fans. The most amazing, warm, loving fans in the world,” she added. “I’m still pinching myself to see if I will wake up.”

Gadot then seemed to tease the “next chapter” of Wonder Woman.

“Can’t wait to share her next chapter with you,” she told fans.

Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in the 2016 movie “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” She has since appeared in other DC films including “Wonder Woman,” “Justice League” and “Wonder Woman 1984.”

The Israeli actress was also set star in a new “Wonder Woman” sequel, which director Patty Jenkins says was posed to feature 1970s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter. Gadot is also reportedly appearing in the upcoming movie “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.”  /ra
