Margot Robbie revealed that her kissing scene with Brad Pitt in their upcoming film “Babylon” was not part of the script, confessing she was actually the one who pitched the idea to the film’s director Damien Chazelle.

The Australian actress, who plays aspiring actress Nellie LaRoy in the movie, talked about the scene and how she convinced Chazelle to go along with it, in an exclusive interview with E! News on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

“That wasn’t in the script,” she said. “But I thought, ‘When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just gonna go for it.'”

“I said, ‘Damien, I think Nellie would just go up and kiss Jack,'” Robbie recalled, referring to Pitt’s character Jack Conrad. “And Damien was like, ‘Well, she could — wait, hold on. You just want to kiss Brad Pitt.'”

Robbie admitted that she orchestrated the kiss to make the best out of the “opportunity,” but she did not expect Chazelle would actually be persuaded to include it in the movie.

“I was like, ‘Oh, so sue me. This opportunity might never come up again.’ And [Chazelle] was like, ‘It does work for the character,’ and I was like, ‘I think so,'” she narrated. “He was like, ‘No, do it again. That really works.’ I was like, ‘Oh, great.'”

Robbie also revealed locking lips with co-star Katherine Waterston for a scene, but she was not sure if it will be featured in the film.

“Babylon,” which is set to premiere on Dec. 23, is a “tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.”

Joining the cast are Olivia Wilde, Tobey Maguire, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart, among others. EDV
