Heart Evangelista’s dad gives early Christmas gift, tells daughter: ‘Be happy’

A month before Christmas, Heart Evangelista already received a present from her father Reynaldo Ongpauco who wishes for his daughter to “be happy.”
The actress, who is currently in Paris, gave a glimpse of her conversation with Ongpauco through her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
“Buy ka sapatos mo, Christmas gift ko sa iyo. Bayaran ko na lang ‘yung jacket at sapatos pagbalik mo,” his message read. “OK, be happy. [See you].”
(Buy shoes for yourself, it’s my Christmas gift to you. I will pay for the jacket and the shoes when you come home.)
In a separate post, Evangelista then showed an old photo of them together as well as the shoes she chose and immediately bought.

Last month, Evangelista spent a day exploring the city of Paris all by herself as she aimed to learn “to walk alone and be independent” despite her anxieties.
Evangelista’s marriage with her husband, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, has been speculated to be on the rocks after fans noticed she changed her name on Instagram and removed the surname Escudero. The two of them have been mum on the matter as of this writing.
Meanwhile, Evangelista also earlier made headlines after actress-TV host Alex Gonzaga and celebrity doctor Vicki Belo joked that Evangelista did not say “hi” to them at an event during the Milan Fashion Week.
Gonzaga and Belo later clarified that the supposed incident did not happen, stressing that they were just “kidding and joking around.” EDV
