Noontime Oppa Ryan Bang feels it is more fun than work to be co-hosting with Kim Chiu in “Dream Maker”.

“Malaking bagay talaga sa akin na kasama ko si Kimmy kasi bukod sa crush ko siya, malaking bagay kasi araw-araw ko siyang kasama sa “It’s Showtime”,” Bang said during the launch of the show recently.

Having worked with Kim for a long time, Bang said he already knew the actress-host inside and out.

“Kilalang-kilala ko siya. Kilala niya ako. Alam ko kung gaano siya kabait, kung gaano siya kasipag. Ginagabayan niya ako sa bawat galaw. Tinutulungan niya ako kung paano mag-host,” he said. (I knew her very well. She knew me. I know how kind she is, how hardworking she is. She guides me in my every move. She helps me know how to be a host)

Since the show have some Korean mentors, Bang helps Kim in interacting with the Koreans.

“Nagugulat lang ako. Sabi ng mga writers pagkatapos ng taping, ‘Ryan, ang galing mong mag-Korean.’ Sabi ko, ‘Korean ako,” he related. (I am just surprised. The writers said after the taping, ‘Ryan you’re so good in Korean.’ I said, ‘I’m Korean.)

Bang articulated his gratitude to ABS-CBN which gave him his biggest break to date.

“Natuwa ako sa “Dream Maker”. Pagkatapos ng labing tatlong taon ko sa ABS-CBN, may talent pala ako. May silbi pala ako kahit papaano,” he said. (I feel great for “Dream Maker.” After thirteen years of my stay with ABS-CBN, I have discovered I have talent. Somehow, I have use.)

Serving as mentors for the competition’s 62 dream chasers are Philippine Queen of Teleserye Themesongs Angeline Quinto, Now United member Bailey May, and international performer Darren Espanto.

Flying in from South Korea to be part of the group of mentors are Seo Won-jin, Bullseye, MOMOLAND and Lapillus choreographer Bae Wan-hee, former MBLAQ member Thunder, Brown Eyed Girls vocalist JeA, and choreographer and “Produce 101” dance mentor Bae Yoon-Jung. INQ
