Herlene Budol will be traveling to Kampala, Uganda to compete as the Philippines’ representative in the Miss Planet International pageant, which will be held on Nov. 19.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up announced her departure while showing herself in a bikini, via her Instagram page on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
“Isang araw na lang lipad ko na po papuntang Kampala, Uganda para sa [Miss Planet International] 2022!” she stated. “Manalo o matalo suportahan niyo pa rin ako hanggang sa dulo ah. Love you all at isama niyo ako sa prayers niyo.”

Budol has been busy with preparations for the competition as she showed glimpses of her speech and pageant walk training through her Instagram page. She also had a sendoff event last Oct. 21 which was organized by the Binibining Pilipinas organization.
Budol’s participation in the upcoming Miss Planet International pageant was announced to the public last Aug. 29. Budol then admitted that the milestone is like a dream for her, revealing she feels “tension” as the country’s candidate in the international pageant. EDV
