Winwyn Marquez opens up on separation anxiety 6 months postpartum

Winwyn Marquez spoke about the separation anxiety she is experiencing as she returns to work, six months after giving birth to her first child Luna.
The actress-beauty queen opened up about her fears over missing her baby’s milestones on her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 31.
“I told my daughter I have work next week and babalik naman ako agad since half day lang naman yun, hanggang ganun lang talaga kasi kaya ko muna, pero feeling ko sagot niya sa akin ‘Mama shut up, no,'” Marquez told fans.
(I told my daughter I have work next week and I would be back soon since it will only be a half day [of work], since that is all I can handle for now, but I feel she answered me with, “Mama shut up, no.”)
“Kahit half day lang ako nasa work, iba pa rin talaga yung SEPANX (separation anxiety)! Lalo na ngayon ang dami niya [nang] ‘FIRST’ at may fear ako na baka ma-miss ko yun,” she added.
(Though I will only be working for half of the day, the separation anxiety is different. Especially now that she has many “firsts” and I fear I might miss them.)
Marquez then talked about her realizations as a first-time mom and the urge to be next to her baby all the time.
“Gusto lang lagi nasa tabi ng anak at nakabantay 24/7. Kahit nga tulog sila sa tabi mo namimiss mo [pa din]. Susulitin ko [na lang] talaga hanggang baby pa siya at nag papakarga pa sa akin,” she said. “Napakabilis ng araw…napakabilis nilang lumaki.”
(You just want to be next to your child and be on guard 24/7. Even when they are asleep next to you, you still miss them. I will just make the most of the time while she is still a baby and still wants to be carried by me. The days go by fast… they grow up so fast.)

Marquez revealed in December 2021 that she was expecting her first baby, after weeks of speculations. The actress then introduced her daughter to the public last May. /ra
