Pen Medina is steadily recovering from a major spine surgery he underwent last July, and he is beyond grateful to those who extended support to him and his family.
The veteran actor gave an update on his condition and thanked those who prayed for him, on his Facebook page yesterday, Oct. 28.
“Pagkatapos po ng aking matagumpay na major spinal surgery at dalawang buwang pagkakaospital, patuloy ako ngayong nagpapalakas upang makabalik sa aking bagong normal,” he said. “Muli, MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT po sa lahat ng mga tulong at panalangin ninyo. May God bless you all.”
(After my successful major spinal surgery and two months in the hospital, I continue to regain my strength to return to my new normal. Again, thank you very much to everyone who extended help and prayers. May God bless you all.)
In July, Pen’s family revealed that he was hospitalized and had to undergo surgery due to degenerative disc disease. At the time, his son Ping Medina showed Pen bedridden and undergoing physical therapy with the help of hospital staff.
Later in the same month, the actor underwent a successful and safe spine surgery. He stated then that the medical team in charge of his care still needed to address an accompanying infection. /ra
