Voice talent and social media personality Inka Magnaye finally got to go on her first flight abroad, and she could not help but tear up upon arriving in another country.

Magnaye opened up on her experience and showed herself crying as her plane to Singapore landed, via her TikTok page yesterday, Oct. 20.

“I’m overwhelmed. I’m in another country. That’s so cool,” she can be heard telling her mother while she looked out a window of the aircraft.

Magnaye admitted that the “reality of the trip” did not really hit her until she landed.

“I was getting a little embarrassed but I couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling. I was just staring out the window for a bit, even if it was just the airport,” she said. “The Philippines was all I’d ever known, and other countries had only lived in my imagination I kinda didn’t like that I was vlogging the moment, but I’m happy I get to share my joy with you.”

“It’s like the world has become real for me, and not just things I watch in documentaries or read in the news,” Magnaye added.

Replying to @fonz I feel so grateful, so lucky. It’s like the world has become real for me, and not just things I watch in documentaries or read in the news. Please don’t feel sorry 🤍 thank you for asking 🤗🤗

During her flight, Magnaye got to hear a voice recording she did for Philippine Airlines back in 2019, as seen in her TikTok post last Tuesday, Oct. 18.

“I recorded this in 2019 so it’s been a while, compounded by the feeling of my first ever trip outside my country. On the outside I was subdued and acted per usual, but on the inside I was brimming,” she said.

Magnaye explained in another TikTok post last Wednesday, Oct. 19, that she avoided going on trips abroad since she could not afford it.

“Every time I think about traveling, it sounds like so much fun, and then I think about plane tickets, accommodations, food, pocket money for whatever I need, transportation and then pasalubong (souvenirs),” she stated. “As much as I know travel will be good for me, these are just expenses that I just can’t justify on my own.”

Replying to @Raichell Cunanan Why I’ve never traveled before and why we shouldn’t judge people’s lives based on what they look like 😅❤️

As her family’s breadwinner, Magnaye believes that the plane tickets, accommodations and other expenses that come with traveling abroad can be used for her rent, groceries and bills instead.

She also noted that she does not have a regular salary as a freelancer and most of her travels were work-related, like her past trips to Boracay and Davao. Despite this, Magnaye tries to travel to local destinations like Tagaytay, and make the most of her time there.  /ra
