“Drag Race Philippines” has named Precious Paula Nicole as its first-ever drag superstar, besting 11 other contestants in the reality competition.

Precious Paula Nicole was hailed as the winner of the first season of “Drag Race Philippines” during the show’s season finale yesterday, Oct. 12. She was up against fellow contestant Marina Summers for the final showdown of the competition, during which they lip-synched “Sirena” by Gloc-9.

After being crowned, Precious Paula Nicole said her first words as the winning queen of “Drag Race Philippines”: “Life is precious and so are we. Let’s continue to inspire and let’s continue to love. I am Precious Paula Nicole, your Drag Race Superstar.”

Precious Paula Nicole also expressed gratitude to those who supported her throughout her “Drag Race Philippines” journey while showing moments from the finale viewing party and her official crowning moment on her YouTube channel today, Oct. 13.

“From the bottom of my Precious heart, walang katapusang pasasalamat sa lahat ng sumuporta at nagtiwala. Mahal ko kayo,” she told fans. (From the bottom of my Precious heart, endless gratitude to all those who supported and trusted me. I love you all.)

“Sobrang saya ng time namin sa ‘Drag Race Philippines.’ Ito ‘yung pinakahuli sa gusto kong mangyari. Ito ‘yung pinakahuling goal ko… Kaya sobra-sobrang pasasalamat sa inyong lahat,” she added.

(Our time in “Drag Race Philippines” was so fun. This is the last thing I wanted to happen. This is my last goal… So thank you so much to all of you.)

“Drag Race Philippines” premiered last August under the streaming platforms HBO Go, Discovery Plus and Wow Presents Plus.

Celebrity impersonator KaladKaren and Filipino drag queen Jiggly Caliente served as judges on the show, along with host Paolo Ballesteros.  /ra
