Fans of Janella Salvador and Joshua Garcia were treated to a pleasant surprise when her character Regina Vanguardia made a bold move on Joshua Garcia’s Brian Robles by kissing him on Tuesday’s episode of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series.”
Regina, who was apparently tipsy after drinking, drew herself close to Brian while talking to him and touched his collar. She then kissed him on the lips but the righteous cop, who was taken aback by her actions, immediately pushed her away, saying he does not want to take advantage of her, given her drunken state.
Regina then apologized to Brian and expressed hope that nothing would change between them despite what happened.
“Walang magbabago (Nothing will change),” Brian assured her before he left. Regina, who was then all alone in the room, then smirked, seemingly implying that she did the kiss on purpose.
During the episode, Regina also told Jane de Leon’s Narda about the kiss and confessed that she has been in love with Brian for quite some time. Narda, the love interest of Brian, was surprised but expressed support for Regina nonetheless. Viewers, however, could surmise jealousy in her surprised expression.
Meanwhile, Salvador and Garcia’s history in real life may be opposite to their characters, as the actor earlier revealed before that he had a “big crush” on the actress. Salvador admitted that Garcia confessed to her at the time, noting that he had been respectful when they talked about it.
Salvador also pointed out that she and Garcia are “very good friends,” and that the actor deserves happiness.
