Angelica Panganiban may have been given the moniker “Patron Saint of Fools in Love,” but her recent engagement had fans asking whether her prayer to find true love has finally been answered.

Panganiban recently announced her engagement to her non-showbiz boyfriend Gregg Homan, who proposed while she was just four months into her pregnancy. The proposal, however, was announced to the public only after the actress gave birth to their daughter Amila Sabine.

Panganiban gamely gave words of wisdom as she replied while sharing the netizen’s tweet: “Hintayin mo lang, at titila rin ang ulan ng kamalasan. Tiwala, manalig at manatiling mabuting tao kahit ano pa sabihin nila tungkol sayo.” (Just wait for it, the rain of misfortune will eventually stop. Trust, believe and stay kind despite whatever they may say about you.)

Panganiban revealed her relationship with Homan on New Year’s Day of 2021. The couple celebrated their first anniversary in the same year.

Prior to that, she was in a number of high-profile relationships with fellow actors, among them Derek Ramsay, John Lloyd Cruz, and childhood sweetheart Carlo Aquino.
