Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez are keeping in touch despite currently not working on a project together.
During a press conference for the TV series “Flower of Evil,” which has Avelino as one of the stars, the actor admitted that he and Gutierrez are still going out, and that their relationship is “OK.”
“Nag-uusap [at] lumalabas pa rin [kami],” he said. (We still talk and go out together.)
Avelino was then asked what he would wish for his onscreen love team partner who recently marked her 33rd birthday, to which he quipped, “Prayers and good health.” He later responded on a serious note that he wish Gutierrez an “even busier and better career this latter end of 2022 and 2023.”
Avelino also shared that he was not with Gutierrez on her birthday, but he noted that she is yet to have a “full” celebration for the occasion.
“Hindi pa siya nagse-celebrate nang buo so makikita natin kapag may party na,” he added, . (She is yet to have a full celebration so we’ll see [if we can celebrate together] when [she organizes] a party.)
Avelino and Gutierrez first paired up in ABS-CBN’s romantic-comedy series “Marry Me, Marry You” where they starred alongside Edu Manzano and Cherry Pie Picache, among others. While the two have yet to confirm the real score between them, fans speculate that they are getting closer to each other as they were frequently spotted together even after the series ended.
Meanwhile, Avelino and Gutierrez also recently starred in the romance-drama film “Ngayon Kaya” which premiered last June. EDV
