“Patay na si Hesus” star Chai Fonacier will soon be sharing the screen with Hollywood actress Eva Green, as seen in the trailer for their international thriller film “Nocebo.”

The trailer was released on the YouTube channel of production company RLJE Films yesterday, Oct. 4, and shows a fashion designer (Green) who suffers from a mysterious illness that frustrates her husband, played by British actor Mark Strong.

The illness suffered by Green’s character confounds doctors until a Filipino caregiver (Fonacier) arrives and uses her traditional folk healing to reveal a “horrifying truth.”

As the caregiver stays with the family and helps the fashion designer through various rituals, her employer’s husband grows suspicious and accuses the nanny of “controlling” his wife.

Last year, Fonacier and Green both expressed praise for each other while “Nocebo” was in production. Fonacier called Green “among the best, kindest, most talented people [she has] ever worked with,” while Green described Fonacier as “truly a great actress” and “an incredible partner.”

“Nocebo,” a psychological thriller set in London and Manila, is written by Garret Shanley and directed by Lorcan Finnegan. It will start showing in theaters on Nov. 4 and on video-on-demand on Nov. 22.  /ra
