James Reid, Kelsey Merritt together in cover photo for his new song ‘u & i’

James Reid seemingly dismissed the dating speculations hounding him and Filipino-American model Kelsey Merritt by using the “stolen photo” of them as the cover image for his new track “u & i.”

The said photo shows them seemingly talking to each other, with Merritt inside a car and Reid standing beside the vehicle’s open door. It earlier made rounds on social media, leading fans to speculate that romance was brewing between the two.

As it turned out, the photo was apparently taken with their permission and was intended for the actor-musician’s new single, as seen on his Instagram page today, Sept. 29.

Reid announced last month that he would be releasing a new album in October, which comes five years after his “Palm Dreams” album. The upcoming album was initially planned to be an extended play (EP), but Reid said he has “too many songs he wants to share with everyone.”  /ra
