Moira Dela Torre has completed a new heartbreaking song on being left behind, with help from fellow singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid.

The “Malaya” singer expressed gratitude to Alcasid as she showed how she completed the new song, via her Facebook page yesterday, Sept. 20.

“Finished another song at the Alcasids last night [with] the help of my tito (uncle) Ogie Alcasid who humbly asked me ‘may I?’ and played the piano for me,” Dela Torre said, referring to Alcasid’s home with his wife, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

Dela Torre can initially be seen playing a piano by herself, until she was joined by Alcasid who took over the instrument to help her.

“Saan ka na? / Hintayin ba kita? / Parang di naman lumaban / Pwede bang paniwalaan na merong iba? / Ano ba ang aking halaga?” Dela Torre sings.

Dela Torre described collaborating with Alcasid as a “dream,” then thanked his “Idol Philippines” co-judge Chito Miranda and his wife Neri Naig, who were also at the Alcasid home at the time, for cheering them on as they made the song.

Dela Torre has yet to reveal the title of the new song, and whether a studio recording for it will be released, as of this writing.

Dela Torre made headlines earlier this year due to her separation from her husband, songwriter Jason Marvin Hernandez, who also confessed he cheated on Dela Torre.

Months after their split, Hernandez has since released a song on regret, which fans believe is about his split with Dela Torre.

Meanwhile, Dela Torre shut down speculations that her song “Babalik sa ‘Yo” is a “sign” of reconciliation between her and Hernandez. She reminded fans that “Babalik sa ‘Yo” is just a song and that they should not be “marupok” (fragile).  /ra
