Vice Ganda, Joshua Garcia hailed as Celebrities of the Year at TikTok Awards PH
Vice Ganda and Joshua Garcia have both been named Celebrities of the Year at the TikTok Awards Philippines 2022 held yesterday, Aug. 20.
The “It’s Showtime” host and “Darna” star bested seven other nominees for the Celebrity of the Year category during the awards ceremony held at New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, as seen on TikTok Philippines’ YouTube channel yesterday.
Fellow celebrities who were nominated for the award were Ivana Alawi, Kim Chiu, Althea Ablan, Kyline Alcantara, Cassy Legaspi, Dasuri Choi and Yukii Takahashi.
“Sa lahat ng followers ko sa TikTok, maraming maraming salamat at binibiyayaan niyo ang mga sarili ninyo na makita ang kagandahan ko araw araw,” Vice Ganda quipped. “Makakaasa kayo na marami pa kayong mapapanood at makikitang mga content or videos ko sa TikTok nang sa gano’n naman ay gumanda ang chaka niyong araw kapag nakikita niyo ang kariktan ko.”

Garcia currently appears in ABS-CBN’s “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” where he plays police officer Brian Robles opposite Jane de Leon’s Narda.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda is set to star in the upcoming Cathy Garcia-Molina film “Partners in Crime” alongside Alawi. The film has been chosen as one of the entries in the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival. JB
