Alice Dixson to critics of her yellow gown at GMA Gala: ‘Wag masyadong judgmental

Alice Dixson took time to explain why she chose a bright yellow gown for the GMA Gala Night, a “formal black and white event,” after she got bashed and was called a “gate crasher” for wearing her gown of choice.
The actress addressed the issue by defining what a “formal black and white event” means based on her knowledge and research, via her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 17. Dixson showed the definition of the term on the internet, as well as the invitations she got which, she stressed, have no color motif stated on it.
“It has come to my attention na may mga nagalit, nainis [at] nagba-bash tungkol sa lovely bright [Gakuya by Kim Gan] canary yellow gown ko na suot ko noong [GMA Gala Night],” she said. “At ang sabi pa daw ay gate crasher pa ang dating ko, at nasira ko ang magandang preparation ng gala; Really?!”
(It has come to my attention that there are people who got mad, annoyed and bashed my lovely canary yellow gown by Kim Gan, which I wore at the GMA Gala Night. Some even said that I looked like a gate crasher and I ruined the gala preparation. Really?!)
“For me (and I also looked it up ha!) ang isang Formal Black and White event is simply that — a formal event. [And nowhere] on any of my invitations that I received (attached) did it say you could only wear black and white!” she explained.
Dixson then expressed dismay and hit back at her bashers, with the actress asking them what they got for throwing criticisms.
“So I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings or sensibilities. I honestly thought I accomplished what was needed for the night: give thanks; mingle and meet my colleagues and the bosses; and have fun,” she added. “[Please lang, huwag naman] kasi kayo masyado judgmental.” (Please do not be too judgmental.)

The GMA Gala Night was held last July 30. Some of the Kapuso stars in attendance were celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista, Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards, among others. JB
