Korina Sanchez has nothing but appreciation for ABS-CBN which honed Julius Babao and Cheryl Cosim, Sanchez’s former fellow anchors in the network and who she described as the “tough ones.”
Sanchez bumped into the broadcasters in TV5’s building, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 16.
“Seems everywhere I turn there’s gotta be a former colleague from ABS-CBN who, since dispersion like myself, is standing firm for other platforms,” Sanchez said. “Such is the training from three decades in the [no. 1] network that [grew] from ground up to heights never before reached. Never, even now.”
“Madami kaming mga gyera na pinagdaanan. Natira ang matibay,” she added. (We have gone through many battles [and] only the tough ones remained.)
Babao and Cosim were also delighted over their meeting, with the latter agreeing to Sanchez’s description of them withstanding battles.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN and TV5 earlier signed a partnership deal that is seen to improve TV5’s presence in broadcasting, while also giving ABS-CBN a venue for its programs to air on free TV despite its lack of franchise. JB
