Ruffa Gutierrez denies firing house helpers without paying their salaries
Ruffa Gutierrez has denied that she kicked out two of her house helpers without paying their salaries following an incident in her home. She said her lawyers were “on top of the situation.”
This comes after P3PWD Rep. Rowena Guanzon talked about a friend who had to “rescue two household helpers who were thrown out of a first class village by their employers without paying their salaries,” as stated on her Twitter page last Thursday, July 7.
Guanzon did not name a specific individual at the time, but yesterday, July 8, she asked Gutierrez via Twitter, “Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez is [this] true?” while quoting her earlier tweet. The actress replied also via Twitter on the same day, clarifying that what Guanzon had narrated was “not true.”
“No it’s not true. There was a situation at home while I was shooting on the set of ‘Maid In Malacañang,’ so my staff had to call security to make sure my children were safe,” she told Guanzon.
Hello Ms. Guanzon,
No it’s not true.

Gutierrez said that her two new house helpers were getting in a fight with their 68-year-old colleague and other workers in her home while she was shooting a movie with Cesar Montano, Diego Loyzaga, Cristine Reyes and Ella Cruz.

“They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were able to do after I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they leave,” she added.
The 2 new kasambahays who have been in our household for only around 2 weeks were fighting our 68-year old senior mayordoma (who has been under my care for more than 18 years).

Let me make it clear po: I did NOT fire anyone. They wanted to leave on their own accord. I have rarely been home shooting everyday, all day, all night for #MAIDinMALACANANG – You should watch it BTW. You’re gonna love it. ❤️

Nang-aaway po sila sa ibang mga kasamahan sa bahay ng wala po ako. They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were able to do AFTER I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they leave.

“I’m always very generous with those I love and those that work for me kaya (so) most of our helpers have been with me for [13 to 35 years],” Gutierrez said. “My lawyers are on top of the situation.”
I’m always very generous with those I love and those that work for me kaya most of our helpers have been with me for 13-35 years. We are FAMILY. Through thick and thin, ika nga. 😍
My lawyers are on top of the situation. Thank you and have a great day po. ❤️❤️❤️🌺🌺🌺☀️☀️☀️☀️
