WATCH: Iya Villania back to working out 2 weeks after giving birth

Iya Villania is now getting back into shape and working out to get her pre-pregnancy figure, two weeks since she gave birth to her fourth child Astro.

The TV host showed herself doing a pull-up to mark the first day of her fitness journey, as seen on her Instagram page today, June 18.

“With my doctor’s go signal, I was able to start on a light workout today. Also, got to see whether I could still pull up or not… and the verdict?” she asked fans.

Villania noted that in the past, she tried doing exercises two days after giving birth and ended up bleeding.

“So [please] wait until bleeding subsides before you guys start working out again. Those who had a [cesarean section] may need to wait it out a little longer before working out again,” she cautioned.

Villania was commended by actresses Bea Alonzo, Camille Prats and Winwyn Marquez. Fellow celebrities even teased the TV host that the exercise she did was not “light” at all.

Villania and her husband, fellow TV host Drew Arellano, welcomed Astro last June 4. She noted that the labor she had gone through was her “longest” so far.

Aside from Astro, Villania and Arellano have three more kids, namely Primo, who they welcomed in 2016; Leon in 2018; and their only daughter so far, Alana, born in 2020.  /ra
