Justin Bieber assures he’s getting ‘better’ after revealing facial paralysis

Justin Bieber has given fans an update on his condition, days after canceling some of his “Justice Tour” performances and revealing he has partial face paralysis.

The Canadian singer assured fans that he is feeling better and said he finds comfort in his faith amid this “horrific” time, as seen on his Instagram Stories today, June 14.

“Wanted to share a little bit of how I’ve been feelin’. Each day has gotten better and through all of the discomfort, I have found comfort in the one who designed me and knows me,” he said.

“I’m reminded he knows all of me. He knows the darkest parts of me that I want no one to know about and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms,” Bieber added. “This perspective has given me peace during this horrific storm that I’m facing. I know this storm will pass but in the meantime, Jesus is with me.”

Bieber first told fans about his health condition last Saturday, June 11. He explained that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which paralyzed some parts of his face.

The “Peaches” singer admitted he was physically unable to perform his upcoming shows, but was doing facial exercises and is expected to recover.

According to plastic reconstructive surgeon Charles Nduka, who specializes in face paralysis, the singer was showing early signs of recovery. Nduka also noted that about 75% of patients with the said condition make full recovery, given that they receive early treatment, including steroids and antivirals.  /ra
