Carmina Villarroel is mourning the death of her father Regy Villarroel, who passed away at the age of 89.
The actress showed a throwback photo of her dad together with her mom Menchu, via Carmina’s Instagram page today, June 7.
“Daddy Regy you’re reunited with Mommy Menchu. Your one and only. Your first and last,” she said.
Carmina’s children Mavy and Cassy also paid tribute to their grandfather through their respective Instagram pages, also today. Mavy expressed his love and gratitude to his “daddy groovy” for being strong for them.
“Rest easy but keep drinking pilsen for me up there!” Mavy stated. “It’s not easy, I know you hate to see us cry. I’ll do my best to smile. Don’t worry, I’ll keep mom safe.”
“The strongest man I know. I love you forever Daddy Groovy,” Cassy, meanwhile, said. “Fresh air daddy Regy.”
Fellow celebrities who offered their condolences to the family include Gelli de Belen, Kyline Alcantara and Darren Espanto.
The family has not disclosed the cause of death as of this writing. It can be recalled that the actress’ father suffered from a critical condition before she and her husband, actor Zoren Legaspi, got married in 2012. Legaspi later on revealed that it was one of the factors why he decided to rush their wedding. /ra
