Robin Padilla shares quote on ignorance amid lead in senatorial race

Robin Padilla, who is currently leading the senatorial race, shared a quote about “ignorance” in society, a few days after the May 9 national elections.

The former action star showed a black-and-white photo of a woman holding a placard in the middle of a crowd, as seen on his Instagram page today, May 12. Written on the placard is a quote from political activist and writer Emma Goldman which says, “The most violent element in society is ignorance.”

While Padilla did not include any further statement, supporters of the actor sent their congratulatory messages and expressed joy over Padilla’s win.

“You made another HISTORY again Supremo. MABUHAY! (Long live!) God bless PILIPINAS (Philippines),” one @junhidalgo_orig said.

In the partial and unofficial count of the Commission on Elections, Padilla is leading the senatorial race with 26,438,202 votes, as of 5:02 p.m. yesterday, May 11. JB
