Katrina Halili now a conservative mom-to-be

KATRINA Halili

KATRINA Halili

I hardly recognized Katrina Halili when I saw her at the birthday party of National Press Club treasurer Jerry Yap. She looks even better sans makeup.

Kat was the picture of a blooming mother-to-be. “I’m giving birth in September. It’s a baby girl,” she beamed. “Kris (Lawrence, the baby’s dad) and I will name her Katrence.”

Isn’t marriage on their agenda yet? “Saka na yun,” she quipped. “Pag nakaipon na kami at naipagpatayo na ako ni Kris ng bahay.”

FEATURED STORIES

Does she get jealousy attacks since she’s heavy with child and there are many sexy young girls around at the gigs of Kris? “Subukan lang niya manloko, ’di niya makikita anak niya,” she said laughing. “I’ve become conservative since I got preggy. Minsan kahit kiss ayoko pagbigyan si Kris.”

Happiness is written all over Kat’s face. With the coming of her baby, she can now kiss her past goodbye and welcome brighter tomorrows.

‘Rigodon de amor’

Iwa Moto minced no words when she clarified the “homewrecker” issue that’s been hounding her for quite some time.

“I came into the picture when Pampi (Lacson) and Jodi (Sta. Maria) had split up,” she said. ‘It’s unfair that Jodi is making it appear that I was the cause of their separation. Alam niya ang totoo. Also, I have evidence to prove that she was involved with my ex, Mickey Ablan, when we were still together.”

Iwa said she just wanted to set the record straight: “Jodi claims Pampi used to beat her up. That’s just her way of playing the underdog. Tahimik lang si Pampi, he’s a gentleman. Ina pa rin si Jodi ng anak nilang si Thirdy, whom I love like my own.”

What’s her message to Jodi? Said Iwa: “Since you’re now happy with your actor-politico BF, why don’t you just let Pampi and I be happy, too?”

Love indeed makes the world go round. But in this case, it’s quite a dizzying rigodon de amor!

Battle of the beckys

Vice Ganda reacted to Mr. Fu’s “baon na chika” comment in “Paparazzi.” According to Fu, Vice got peeved at Vhong Navarro in “Showtime,” so Vice reprimanded his co-host off-cam.

But on his Twitter account, Vice insisted that it’s not true at all.

What’s Fu’s reaction? “My source says it happened recently, not last Saturday when I reported it,” Fu explained. “If they are denying it, then that’s okay. We can move on to the next story.”

Is there a brewing battle of the beckys? But since Vice and Fu both have a great sense of humor, I’m pretty sure that if and when they get a chance to talk, they will just laugh off the issue.

New GMA 7 ‘teleserye’

GMA 7’s primetime king Richard Gutierrez plays Martin Caballero, a poor but hardworking hacienda laborer, in “Makapiling Ka Muli” (Mondays to Fridays on the primetime block).

Co-starring with Richard is Carla Abellana, who plays Leilani, his childhood friend and first love.

The young lovers will be separated by a conflict involving their families, putting their love to a test.

Congrats
