Taylor Swift has added yet another feather in her cap after a scientist fan of hers named a new species of millipede after her.

The American singer’s fan, entomologist and myriapodologist Derek Hennen, picked the name Nannaria swiftae for the millipede, as per his Twitter page last Saturday, April 16. Coincidentally, the species was found in Tennessee, where Swift had lived in the past.

Hennen said that as a fan, he named the arthropod after Swift to show his  appreciation for his idol.

“This new millipede species is Nannaria swiftae: I named it after [Taylor Swift]!” he said. “I’m a big fan of her music so I wanted to show my appreciation by naming this new species from Tennessee after her. A high honor!”

Aside from Nannaria swiftae, Hennen also named another species of millipede after his wife who has been patient with him during their nature hikes.

Swift has not yet made public her thoughts on the scientist’s tribute. This led her fans, the Swifties, to describe her silence as “deafening.”

“Not to be serious or anything but Taylor Swift’s silence on the millipede that was named after her is truly deafening,” one @salmanswiftt said.

Another netizen, @taylrsversion13, also noted that given Swift’s “cute and nerdy” personality, she would “[definitely want to] say something about that.”

One @feverdreamliz, meanwhile, jokingly asked fellow fans to count the legs of the millipede, given that Swift would often drop easter eggs about her upcoming releases through social media posts.

“Ok so who is going to count the exact number of legs on that Taylor Swift millipede? We need our best clowns on this potential easter egg,” she quipped.

“So now a millipede species is named after Taylor Swift? Even the president of Chile is a Swiftie. [Oh my God] Swifties are everywhere,” another fan, @reputankation, stated.

“Oh to be a newly discovered millipede named after Taylor Swift,” one @tocevska said.

Swift, an 11-time Grammy Award winner, is set to receive an honorary doctorate degree in fine arts from New York University on May 18. This is a first for her since she has been working on her music since high school.

The singer also recently teased her new song “Carolina” last month. The track is featured on the trailer of the upcoming film “Where the Crawdads Sing,” which is produced by American actress Reese Witherspoon.  /ra
