Andi Eigenmann’s two-year-old daughter Lilo appears to be following in the footsteps of her dad, celebrity surfer Philmar Alipayo, as she already started learning how to surf.
Eigenmann treated fans to glimpses of the father-and-daughter surf bonding moment, through Eigenmann’s Instagram page today, April 12. Lilo can be seen paddling her arms and legs while lying on a surf board, then she stood up while Alipayo was by her side, instructing and supporting her.
“I find that a great way for little ones to learn a new skill is simply by letting them have a go at it! Trust them as they explore their [capabilities] and support them as they push themselves to try,” she said.
“Lilo has been leveling up on her swimming skills by the day, and I see that its having playmates around and being able to do fun activities in the water that motivate her to do so. Like surfing!” she explained.
Eigenmann then expressed joy over seeing her children enjoy the life they have in the island by appreciating nature.
“It doesn’t matter if they eventually opt to explore different things as they get older. That’s what makes life more enjoyable after all,” she added. “But what a simple joy it is to see them love the life we are able to offer them.”

Eigenmann and her family have recently returned to their home in Siargao, months after super typhoon Odette struck the island. They also put up their own surf school and snack bar which are expected to open in time for Holy Week. JB
