Nadine Lustre received not only a warm welcome from fans but also a bottle of lechon sauce during the Pampanga campaign rally of presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan held yesterday, April 9.

Lustre was singing her song “Para-paraan” when towards the end of her performance, a fan ran up to the stage and gave her a bottle of lechon sauce, as seen in a live stream video of the event on Robredo’s YouTube channel, also yesterday.

The actress-singer then burst into laughter and raised the bottle up after the fan encounter. She was cheered on by the audience who Lustre thanked after her performance.

FEATURED STORIES

The fan’s gesture appears to be a reference to Lustre’s viral photo in August last year, where she was spotted buying lechon sauce in a sari-sari store during a Siargao trip. Lustre later on explained the story behind the photo, sharing that the sauce was for her lechon manok (roasted chicken) which she bought as her meal after a long tiring day.

Meanwhile, fellow celebrities who were also present at the campaign rally include Sharon Cuneta, Jolina Magdangal, Nikki Valdez and Ogie Diaz, among others. JB
