LOOK: Maxine Medina gets engaged to non-showbiz boyfriend

Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina is now engaged to her boyfriend, diving instructor Timmy Llana, after he popped the question during their vacation in Palawan.

The beauty queen announced the good news by proudly showing off her engagement ring on her Instagram page yesterday, April 4. She also showed herself with Llana’s arm around her as they posed together by the beach.

“Finally my forever,” Medina said.

Medina and Llana got engaged while they were on vacation with other companions at a resort in Coron, Palawan. They were all having dinner by the beach when Llana proposed, as seen on her Instagram page today, April 5.

“This is the start of my always. @timmyllana I LOVE YOU!” she told her boyfriend.

Medina received congratulatory greetings from fellow celebrities Iza Calzado, Rayver Cruz, Winwyn Marquez, Cassy Legaspi and Miriam Quiambao, among others.

The couple have been together for three years and marked their third anniversary in June last year. In Christmas of 2020, Medina received from Llana a promise ring bearing her initials, and he also vowed to take care of her and love her forever.  /ra
