Sandra Lemonon now engaged, expecting first child with Sol Mercado

Sandra Lemonon and her boyfriend, basketball player Sol Mercado, are now engaged and are set to welcome their first child together.
The former Miss Universe Philippines delegate announced her engagement to Mercado by showing herself hugging him as she flaunted her engagement ring on her Instagram page last Sunday, March 13. Mercado had popped the question two days before, March 11.
“[Eternity] with you, [Sol Mercado]. I love you,” Lemonon said.
For his part, Mercado showed a similar photo as he honored Lemonon on his Instagram page yesterday, March 14.
“Everything that is you @sandralemonon, is all I ever needed!” he told her.

Lemonon then revealed that she is pregnant with a baby boy by giving a glimpse of her child’s gender-reveal party, as well as Mercado kissing her baby bump, as seen on her Instagram page, also yesterday.
“Our baby boy #KingZ. I’ve always imagined myself having a little baby boy, for it to actually happen is a surreal feeling,” she admitted. “[Sol Mercado] you are an amazing [life partner, friend and] now papa, thank you for another priceless gift in helping me become a mama.”
The couple received congratulatory greetings from beauty queens Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold and Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters, among others.

Lemonon and Mercado confirmed their relationship in September last year, after months of speculations from fans.
Lemonon represented Taguig in Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and finished at the competition’s top 16. She also competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2016.
Meanwhile, Mercado is a free agent in the Philippine Basketball Association who last played for the NorthPort Batang Pier back in 2019. He was previously engaged to actress Denise Laurel. /ra
