Willie Revillame asks for prayers after suspected cancerous polyps found in him
Willie Revillame asked fans for prayers after his colonoscopy test showed polyps in his stomach and colon, which is suspected by his doctors to be cancerous.
Revillame disclosed that he just had his executive check up after two years which came out with polyps findings, in an episode of his show “Wowowin,” as seen on its YouTube channel last Thursday, March 24.
“Meron akong stapler kaya di ako makasayaw at makakanta. Nagkaroon ako ng colonoscopy, endoscopy, sa heart, lahat,” he said. “Merong nakita polyps sa ‘kin, isa sa colon at isa sa stomach. Medyo malaki po, one centimeter ‘yung sa stomach at ito po ay — sana ‘wag naman — pero prone ata po ito sa cancer.”
(I’ve been stapled that’s why I can’t dance and sing. I had gone through tests including colonoscopy, endoscopy, tests on heart and everything. The doctors found polyps in my body, one on the colon and another on the stomach. It’s a bit large, the one in my stomach is one centimeter long and it is – though I hope not — said to be prone to cancer.)
The TV host clarified that he already had polyps in 2019 but unlike now, it was considered benign by his doctors at the time. He then admitted that he feels nervous while awaiting for the results, which would show if the polyps are cancerous or not. The results are scheduled to be released today, March 28.

He then urged the public to be mindful of their health and have themselves checked even if they’re not experiencing discomfort.

Nandyan ang ating mga dalubhasa,” Revillame stated. “Tingnan niyo, ako di ko inexpect na gano’n. Wala akong nararamdaman pero meron palang nakadikit sa aking stomach.”
(I do not feel any discomfort but I was informed that I have polyps so I advise all of you to have yourselves checked. There are experts who can help you. Take me, for example, I didn’t expect this. I don’t feel anything, but as it turns out, I have something attached to my stomach.)
“Hinihingi ko lang na sana ipagdasal niyo ako na hindi maging cancer ‘yon para tuloy-tuloy ako sa inyo,” he added. “Gano’n ang buhay.”
(I’m just asking you all to pray for me, that cancer would be ruled out so I can continue being of service to all of you. This is how life is.)
