Willie Revillame to those partying despite COVID-19: ‘Makidamay kayo, hindi magpasikat’
TV host and actor Willie Revillame addressed those who are apparently showing off on social media, by having elaborate birthday parties, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hindi tama na magpasikat kayo,” Revillame said during the Monday, June 29 episode of the TV variety show “Wowowin”, a portion of which was uploaded on its YouTube channel yesterday, June 30. Revillame stressed that instead of partying, now is the time to help, follow regulations and pray for the country.
Comedian Donita Nose joined Revillame for the show’s “Tutok to Win” segment during her birthday on Monday. It was at that point in the show when the two discussed how birthday celebrations can proceed amid the health crisis.
“Kung wala kang pang-blowout ngayon, magtiis ka,” Revillame said about those who plan to hold parties. “Hindi naman kailangan na maghanda ka eh.”

Ang dami-daming namamatay, ang dami-daming nagkakasakit,” Revillame said. “Pinapakita niyo sa Facebook, sa YouTube ‘yan. Makidamay kayo sa ating mga kababayan… Hindi tama ‘yung ginagawa natin. Nagpapasikat kayo, wala naman din kayo.”

Empathize with our countrymen. What we are doing is not right. You are showing off even when you have nothing.)
Revillame also appealed to his fellow Filipinos to just follow the regulations and quarantine measures.
