Ben&Ben is beyond grateful to finally perform in front of a live audience after they held their first show since 2020 in Dubai.

The folk pop band performed their hit songs including “Leaves,” “Araw-Araw” and “Ride Home” in front of about 16,000 people at Expo 2020 Dubai, as seen on the event’s official Twitter page yesterday, March 10.

“What a heartfelt night that was! The music scene at Expo 2020 was beyond [mesmerizing] last night with Ben&Ben’s performance that delivered love, hope and possibility,” it stated.

Ben&Ben expressed their appreciation of those who watched them by showing moments from their show on their Instagram and Twitter pages, also yesterday. They can all be seen together onstage while posing in front of their audience, as captured by photographer Gied Sarmiento.

“DUBAI. OUR FIRST FULL LIVE SHOW SINCE 2020. We’ll always remember you,” the band told fans. “Thank you for being with us tonight! [More than 16,000] people grabe (wow)! Mahal na mahal namin kayo (We love you very much)!”

Ben&Ben was supposed to fly abroad last January for their in-person performance at Expo 2020 Dubai, but they postponed the show due to COVID-19 cases “within the band and our team.”

Last month, the band collaborated with Google for the song “Mag-Ingat,” which warns the public against scams and fake online accounts. “Mag-Ingat” was composed by Ben&Ben’s lead vocalists Miguel Benjamin Guico and Paolo Benjamin Guico.  /ra
