Nadine Lustre is about to return to movies soon as the official trailer for her comeback thriller film “Greed” was released.

The trailer features Lustre and actor Diego Loyzaga playing a couple who won the lottery, as shown on Viva Films’ YouTube channel yesterday, March 7. They try to hide their winning ticket from their neighbors, but things get intense and brutal when their friend Dadong (Epy Quizon) discovered that they won.

The couple then decide to move to a new place, but appear to have gone into an argument upon realizing the lotto ticket was missing. They are then seen in an apparent fight with a mystery person as they appear with bruised faces and stained clothes.

As the trailer concludes, Lustre is shown covered in blood while she laughs maniacally.

“Greed” is directed by Yam Laranas and will be released via the streaming service Vivamax on April 8.

“Greed” was first teased by Laranas in October last year, when he showed a virtual script reading where Lustre, Loyzaga and Quizon were present.

The film marks Lustre’s return to films since she last starred in “Indak” back in 2019. It is also her first movie since she tried to part ways with Viva Artists Agency in 2020.

Lustre was sued by Viva in 2020 allegedly due to her breaching her exclusive contract with them. The actress and Viva have since settled the dispute, with Lustre retaining her rights to decide on matters related to her “branding and image.”. /ra
