Kris Aquino will be undergoing a new series of medical tests, which include a bone marrow biopsy and endoscopy. These procedures are supposedly for ruling out possibilities of more serious illness.
Aquino, who has the autoimmune disease chronic spontaneous urticaria, recently received a full dose of a medication called Xolair injection. The Queen of All Media has lost a lot of weight and most recently was at 38.5 kilograms (85 pounds).
“BECAUSE [I’m] very GRATEFUL for all your prayers… bago mag next dose ng Xolair about a week from now, (which I am reacting to in a good way) gagawin ko na yung tests requested by my hematologist, who was also our mom’s oncologist, Dr Francis,” she stated on her Instagram page yesterday, March 5.
(Because I’m very grateful for all your prayers, before I take my next dose of Xolair about a week from now, which I am reacting to in a good way, I will already take the tests requested by my hematologist who was also our mom’s oncologist, Dr. Francis.)
Although she has no cancer markers in her blood tests, her doctor wants to rule out certain things before she leaves the country in less than two weeks for further treatments.
“Hindi po ako takot sa tests, [I] prefer to know para kung maaagapan or may treatments, procedures, or solutions – magawa na soonest na walang delay,” she added.
(I am not afraid of tests. I prefer to know, so that if something can be prevented with treatments, procedures or solutions, these can be done soonest without delay.)
“So this Friday nag YES ako sa (I said yes to) Pet Scan, Endoscopy, plus bone marrow biopsy (I was warned [five] days of discomfort after) BECAUSE [I] have full confidence in my team of doctors,” Aquino said, enumerating and thanking the team of doctors looking after her.
Meanwhile, she also apologized to Sen. Joel Villanueva for her questioning of his sincerity regarding her brother, the late President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, which was apparently made in a private text message.
“Pasensya ka na very protective of his memory – bumabawi kasi sa mga pagka brat ko sa kanya,” she addressed Villanueva publicly. (Please pardon me, I am just protective of his memory, to make up for my being a brat to him.)
