Andi Eigenmann and her family are making their way back to Siargao after about three months of being away from their home island that was hit by typhoon Odette.
The actress announced their return to Siargao by showing her children sleeping on a plane bound for Cebu, their stop-over, via her Instagram page last Tuesday, March 1. She also gave a glimpse of their stay in the city through moments of her kids with her fiancé, celebrity surfer Philmar Alipayo.
“We have bid adieu to city life! This family adventure we are currently on has been a special one,” she said.
Eigenmann then revealed that they made a stop-over at Cebu, showing her family at a playground and looking out a window of what appears to be a hotel room, as shown on her Instagram page yesterday, March 2.
“We made a pit stop at Cebu before our adventure officially began,” she told fans.
The actress’ family visited Cebu to get passports for her children, Lilo and Koa, so they can fly out of the country again, as per their YouTube vlog also yesterday.
Eigenmann and her family’s home in Siargao was among those affected in the devastation caused by typhoon Odette back in December 2021.
The typhoon forced Eigenmann and her kids to stay in the city temporarily, while Alipayo had to spend Christmas in Siargao to help in relief efforts. The couple donated the December 2021 earnings of their YouTube channel “Happy Islanders” to help rebuild the island.
Last January, the actress opened up on the “tough time” her family had while away from Siargao. She admitted that while her children do not consider the place they have outside Siargao as “home,” being together made their situation feel better. /ra
