Andi Eigenmann shows devastation on road to Siargao home, asks for help for the island
Actress Andi Eigenmann is asking for help in the aftermath of super typhoon Odette, which devastated her island home of Siargao when it first hit the country on Dec. 16. Other areas in Visayas and Mindanao were also heavily damaged.
Eigenmann shared videos of the devastation in Siargao, specifically images of a road that apparently leads to the area where her family lives, via her Instagram stories yesterday, Dec. 18. It showed scattered pieces of wood, fallen trees and roofless structures.
“Catangan. On the way to ours… wiped,” the island mom said.
She also opened up about the relief she felt knowing her friends and family on the island are safe. However, she still stressed that it would take time for Siargao to go back to normal.
“[But] the island is completely devastated and it would take time before Siargao recovers. All the help would be very much appreciated. And thank you to everyone who have been working tirelessly to organize sending in relief goods, supplies, medical help and to all those who have donated,” Eigenmann stated, also on her Instagram stories.
