Jake Ejercito got to enjoy an underwater adventure with his daughter Ellie as she accompanied him on his first ever diving experience.
The actor gave a glimpse of his first dive with Ellie on his Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 17. He showed their encounter with clownfish, Ellie preparing her diving gear, as well as them dining together in an undisclosed location.
Ejercito also showed candid moments with his daughter where she can be seen walking next to a pool and making faces by the sea.
“Wish we had a better underwater [camera] but it was awesome to be with Ellie on my first ever dive. Looking forward to the next one already,” he said.
Ellie is Ejercito’s child with his ex-girlfriend, fellow actor Andi Eigenmann. The actress is now engaged to celebrity surfer Philmar Alipayo.
It appears Ejercito chose a good companion for his first ever dive as Ellie has had some experience in the ocean.
Ellie is an island girl like her mom, having lived in Siargao where she goes swimming and surfing with Eigenmann. She has also taken bubble maker scuba classes in the past, and has tried it in a pool and in the ocean.
Ejercito is co-parenting Ellie with Eignemann. He disclosed to Philippine Daily Inquirer back in 2020 that he and Eigenmann try to exclude Ellie from “all the drama” and give her a “sense of normalcy” in their parenting setup.
The actor visited Ellie in Siargao and bonded with her half-sibling Lilo for her 10th birthday last November. The two of them then reunited in December 2021 to celebrate the Christmas holidays together.
Ejercito recently revealed that he and his daughter both contracted mild COVID-19, but have since recovered. /ra
